Application notes
The alloys in this group are among the most commonly used aluminium casting alloys. They are regarded as universal casting alloys for the most important casting processes and are widely used in pressure die casting in particular. They are easily cast and are suitable for parts which are subjected to relatively high loads. They are heat resistant and, as such, are used for engine components and cylinder heads.
